Hindukush Heights arranges the following kind of adventure travel activity in the area bounded by the Hindukush in the west to the Karakorams and Himalaya in the east:

Trekking Over Mountain passes and Glaciers:

These are from two days to twenty days duration and go over altitudes ranging from 10,000 ft to 16,000 ft. The average days walk is for five hours. Porters carry all the luggage, accommodation is in spacious tents. There is also a dinning tent for sit down meals. There are separate toilet tents for women and men. The trekking period is from May to Oct. Trekking can be combined with trout fishing photography, interest in flora & fauna , bird watching or catching butterflies.

Jeep Safari's:

The Jeep Safari's are along mountain roads connecting high villages and valleys. We carry only three people in each of our open Willy's jeeps as they drive through narrow gorges and cross fast-flowing streams over wooden bridges. Because of our family connections in Chitral, we are able to accommodate guests in private homes where they will meet village folks and exchange views with them in a friendly manner.

Pony Treks:

Chitral is an excellent place for pony trekking along abandoned jeep road and foot paths. Our sturdy mountain ponies (mostly from the Badakhshan province of Afghanistan) will carry you confidently over passes as high as 14,000 ft. Sitting high on the saddle you will get breath taking views of un-spoiled countryside and majestic mountains while you pass by yaks and cows grazing on high pastures.

Polo Tours:

The game of polo started in Chitral from where the British took it and introduced it to the rest of the world after modifying it. In Chitral the game is still played in the original no-rules , devil-may-care style. Almost every village has its own Polo ground. Polo tournaments begin as soon as the snow starts melting in April and continue till the winter sets in. The most fierce match is played every year on the 8th of July at the Shandur Pass Polo ground which is at 12,500 ft. It is considered the worlds highest polo ground. Hindukush Heights own the best camping spot at Shandor where it arranges the stay for Polo enthusiasts coming from all over the world. Some of the guests prefer to prolong their stay in Chitral to learn Polo (One hour of stick and ball costing only 10 US$) or go on Pony treks.
