History of Siri Paye
For centuries, Siri Paye served as a summer grazing ground for shepherds from the Kaghan Valley. During the warmer months, local communities brought their livestock to the lush mountain pastures while living in temporary shelters.
With the growth of tourism in northern Pakistan, Siri Paye became one of the country’s most photographed mountain destinations. Despite increasing visitor numbers, the meadows have retained much of their natural charm.

How to Reach Siri Paye
Via Shogran
Most visitors first travel to Shogran from Islamabad via Abbottabad, Balakot and Kiwai. From Shogran, Siri Paye is reached by local four-wheel-drive jeeps or by hiking approximately seven kilometres uphill.
Jeep Ride
The jeep journey usually takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on road conditions.
Hiking
Experienced hikers can walk from Shogran to Siri Paye in approximately two to three hours.
