Upper Chitral Imposes Two-Month Ban on Swimming and Boating for Monsoon Safety

Upper Chitral has implemented a two-month ban on swimming and boating across all its rivers, streams, and natural water channels. The decision, announced by Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate Upper Chitral, Muhammad Imran Khan, comes into immediate effect.

The prohibition has been enforced specifically to mitigate the risk of potential accidents during the impending monsoon season. As water levels are expected to rise and currents strengthen, these precautionary measures are vital to ensure the safety of residents and visitors engaging in water-based activities.
