History of Nathia Gali

Nathia Gali was established during the British colonial period as a hill station where government officials escaped the intense summer heat of the plains. Many charming cottages, churches and schools dating from the nineteenth century still contribute to the town’s distinctive character.

Following the creation of Pakistan, Nathia Gali developed into one of the country’s premier mountain resorts while retaining its peaceful environment and natural beauty.
